ELECTION SCHEDULE FOR 2024

Polling Place Location:  Pittsville Community Hall -- 5291 Third Avenue
Polls are Open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

  • Spring Primary, if required:  Tuesday, February 20
  • Spring Election:  Tuesday, April 4
  • Partisan Primary: August 13, 2024
  • General Election:  November 5, 2024

Absentee information is posted to the county website: www.co.wood.wi.us and the city website: www.pittsvillewi.gov after each election.

You must be registered to vote. If you are not registered in the City of Pittsville, have moved or changed your name since you last voted, you will need to fill out a form to update your voter registration.  Please bring with you proof of residence such as your drivers license, state ID, utility bill, real estate tax bill or receipt, residential lease, bank statement, DNR licenses, employee photo ID, tribal ID, paycheck, or UW or Technical college ID with a photo and fee receipt.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Pittsville Community Hall, located at 5291 Third Avenue.

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW PHOTO ID BEFORE YOU VOTE.

Voter Registration

The first step in the election process is to be sure you are a registered voter in the City of Pittsville. If you are a new resident, recently changed your name or address, or have never voted before in the City of Pittsville, you will need to complete a Voter Registration Application.  This application is available at the City Hall, Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. 8:00 am– 4:00 pm and Weds. Noon-7pm.

Absentee Voting

You must be a registered voter before applying for an absentee ballot.  Also, you must complete an Application for Absentee Ballot and mail or bring it into the Clerk’s Office.  College students, if you intend to vote in the City of Pittsville, please remember to register to vote and request an absentee ballot before you leave for school.  Your other option is to register and vote in your college town.

Provisional Ballot Information

The number of outstanding provisional, and military absentee ballots for the August 9, 2022 Partisan Primary Election will be posted on the Wood County Website (link located below); the Community Hall and in the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer at 5318 First Avenue after the polls have closed on Election Night.
