• Brown paper bags
• Corrugated cardboard (flattened out and cut in pieces 2' by 3' or smaller)
• Office paper
• Copy paper
• Shredded paper in paper bag
• File folders
• File or packing boxes
• Junk mail
• Cereal boxes
• Brown or gray fiber packages (soda cartons, dry food packages, etc.)

What about electronics?

The State of Wisconsin established an electronics recycling law that bans most electronics from landfills and incinerators.  The following electronics are banned from landfills and incinerators and should be recycled:

• Televisions
• Computers (desktop, laptop,  notebook and tablet computers)
• Desktop printers (including those that scan, fax and/or copy)
• Computer monitors
• Other computer accessories (including mice, keyboards and speakers)
• DVD players, VCRs and DVRs
• Fax machines
• Cell phones

With electronic devices being used and replaced more than ever before, it is vital we dispose of these items properly.  There are many valuable, reusable materials in electronics that can lessen environmental impacts and economic costs.  Electronics may also contain harmful materials that could pollute our soil and water and impact human health when not disposed of properly.
